Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox 360 Death Toll Reaches 2.9 Million

They were discussing mine almost 2 weeks ago when this was news. Isn't it about time for your cry today?

Mine still hasne't gotten the RROD and I have got it almost since launch.

Edit: your top image isn't a RROD 4 red lights mean you ahven't connected your video cable.

My Xbox 360 Elite is perfectly fine. I have the HD DVD attachment, Halo 3, The Orange Box, and I got Viva Pinata, but I haven't played that yet. Marble Blast Ultra is one of the best games on the Xbox Live Arcade. Where did all of these Xbox 360 haters come from? More Xbox 360 games got reviews of over 90% on Metacritic, and GameRankings, than Playstation 3, and Wii combined. My Playstation 3 60 GB is collecting dust right now, because I still have the sour after taste of Sonic the Hedgehog, but Ratchet & Clank Future is definite fun, but pretty much, just a PS2 Ratchet, with HD graphics. My Wii is fun too. Super Mario Galaxy is the best game.

Duplicate thread except mine didn't have the two huge pictures or number that had nothing to do with the article at the top. Please lock.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

It must be something to do with Australia.. 4 for my friends have 360's and my friend (brenton) RROD (andrew) RROD and (thomas) keeps freezing when you play in for a couple of hours.

Only one that hasn't sceaw'd up is (blakes) elite and thats cause he never plays it.

Weird thats a reason im not getting a 360

No, I think it has to do with 16 percent over a few hours of testing, 100 percent over 3 or 4 years of playing, imo. I figure its an inevitability that they break down. After mine RRoD'd I sold it, just cause I figured it'd do it again.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I am not trying to start anything, but isn't 16% still alot?

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Yours doesn't show the game static numbers, and is an attempt at MS positive spin. This one is different than that.

Also, it doesn't have this picture in it twice:

It's actually low compared to what most people figured, but no one trusts those numbers, because they are only on 1000 consoles tested over a few weeks. It is likely the number increases as the system is played more often, which I believe is mentioned in the original article.

This is the reason i will never spend money on a 360... To have to spend almost £300 on a console i at least expect it not to die on me!

What I find the funniest is - one of the best selling consoles of the last gen was the PS2 - and it suffered big time from the disk read error. Sony quietly fixed it, but it still happens often. And yet, folks still bought it. To claim the potential of failure is a reason not to buy a 360 is just lame, especially with MS offering a warranty extension. Anything can break down - deal with it.

This article, btw, is full of phailure and based on rather faulty information. To the poster - thanks for bringing this foolishness to our attention, especially when Legend had already made the thread. PHAIL.
