Forums - Gaming Discussion - Command and Conquer 3 on PS3 and Wii?

if anything the wii controls would be the easiest b/c it would play sorta like on the computer

I think the PS3 would be perfect for C&C3, in fact I think the Cell is actually better suited for this type of game and although I've never tried a PS3 controller it seems like it would work well or at least as good as the 360's control scheme.

So no console version supports keyboard/mouse?  *sigh*

I don't get why they don't just make this game for the PS3 and have keyboard/mouse and one of the options for those people who have one for their PS3. Many people (like myself) don't buy many PC games, not because of the control scheme or anything, but because our computers aren't powerful enough to run it, which is why I buy nearly all my games for PS3, so I would be far more likely to get this game for PS3 without the worry that it will not work

add me

id buy it if it was on wii :P (and good ofc)

Well atleast the PS3 supports Mouse + Keyboard controls so the PS3 version will play as easy as the PC version..

they need to make the game accessible to gamepad users though, and honestly, most PS3 users are not going to use a keyboard and mouse with their system.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

If there were quite of few of these game many more people will be willing to buy the keyboard and mouse.

Wait...you're under the impression that a console that can actually utilize a point, click, and drag control scheme wouldn't be viable for RTS games? Seriously? *boggle*

God, you remind me of the people who think that an FPS on the Wii works better than on the PC... mouse over point and click wiimote for RTS any day of the week...

I want you to point out, directly, which part of the quotation you started with implies that FPS or RTS games would be better on the Wii than on a high end PC with a mouse. Please, just point it out. Go on. I'm serious: point it out for me, I'd appreciate it.

His real point (as I understand it) was that the Wii Remote would be better than a Game Pad, e.g. the control interface of the GameCube, PS3 and Xbox360. Which I agree with.

You know what my problem would be with a Keyboard/Mouse game controller for the PS3? It really isn't the games, because I agree they work better for RTS games, and I personally prefer the mouse/key combination to a gamepad after years of PC gaming. Instead, my complaint is that with such peripherals, the PS3 is so close to being a computer that it's nearly impossible to discern. People already mock the system for this -- but what would you say if someone told you to buy a machine that can display movies, pictures, and music, connect to the internet, and you could play those games with a keyboard and mouse? Other than the notable professional and scholastic applications such as MS Word/Office, etc, you've basically got everything covered there to define this as a computer. I think that's an image that Sony wants to avoid, and anything that gets the system closer to fitting the definition of "computer" (Especially something as tangible as a keyboard and mouse) should be considered carefully.
