I'm curious, becuase I just really P'd someone off on motorstorm. Ya'see, I was in 4th, halfway through the first lap, and well, I like to win. So I ram someone off the cliff. (it takes about 5 seconds for them to hit cliff below, then 5 seconds to respawn, and then another 3-5 seconds to get back up to speed, thus loosing around 10-15 seconds) And then just pass 2nd place later in the lap, and on the last lap, take a chance, go for the inside of the corner, and give the person in first a love-tap, so they go flying into the mountian cliff, and loose the 10-15 seconds also. While I make first.

Is that bad? Am I a bad person for doing that? Is it ok to ram people out of your way to win? 

Its part of the game, so go for it. But they may never play (online) again. That's the sort of experience that will turn me off a game forever.

shams - these guys have raced 400 races each, and the average race is 3-5 minutes... :)

ramming other people off seem like it decreases the skill factor... although that act itself requires skill.  anyway, i think that if it's in the game, unless it's clearly not something the developer intended, it's okay.  i mean, how could you please everybody?

 See I feel there are 3 things you must do in motorstorm to win.

1. Stay on the lines. (the fast ones)
2. Stay on the track. (dont fall off the track, or get rammed off the track, always be in the safe spot when beside someone)
3. They cant beat you, if their not on the track. (ram them off)

uh thats totally part of the game in Motorstorm. (and you know that) I mean they even give the little vehicles the option of punching/grabbing other peeps on the light vehicles. and i wont hesitate at all on tapping someone off course, i really love doing it heading into a jump. i always got my headset on too, so i let them know who that was who just pushed them off course. never had someone get too mad, because everyone knows its part of the game
