that time will be zelda sequel time.

and world of games will have a reson to exist again.!!!

 

like wind waker was renessance in gaming design and gameplay in old gen.

To albionus. And why are we comparing last gen systems to next gen systems? And why are we comparing videogame consoles to the PS3 (which is not just a box that plays videogames). In fact. A PS3 is not videogame console. ITs a computer entertainment system. Which some people till this day does not know what that means. It means that its built to be the center of your living room. Not to be some silly little childs toy that plays nothing but childish games and that I have to stand in front of my TV looking like a total idiot swining a remote.

Analysts have been wrong an amazingly high percentage of the time lately; the Wii and DS were both supposed to be flops according to most Analysts while the PSP and PS3 were supposed to be remarkably popular.

If you want to know the future, look into the past ...

There are very few things which happen in the world which are unprecidented, if you understand what has happened before you can predict the future to a high level of success. Currently, the PS3 seems to be performing at a level below the Gamecube and N64 and is very similar in market position and sales to the Sega Saturn.

So you tell me. How did Sony turn it around with the PS2? The PS2 started out selling slowly. But now within a six year frame, the PS2 has sold over 110 million units. Making it the greatest selling console of all time.

ColonelFury - If I wanted a "computer entertainment system" I'd buy a computer entertainment system.  I'm in the process of spec'ing A $600AU HTPC, which will serve all my entertainment needs far better than the PS3 ever could (with the exception of BD playback).  People buy a console to play GAMES.

To Ray007. Actually thats equal to the PS3's processing ability. So I'd much rather spend 600 USD for a PS3. Then having to spend 250USD for a gaming console only, and then having to shell out another 600 USD for a decent PC. When I can get both for 600 via PS3.
