That's certainly interesting.

We could speculate if the upgrade is because they know something we don't, aka. the performance of AMD's Big Navi, and that they need something beefier to beat it.

That's why I said that the fans are in the wrong place. If the fan that goes in the front was actually in the underside and the rear one on teh upperside, it would be great for cooling and the rear exhaust fan of teh case would take care of the hot air.

But then, the design of the card and the PCB would have to be totally different than what we've seen so far.

As the popularity of the Xbox Game Pass on PC has grown, the shortcomings of the Xbox (Beta) launcher have become clear. While the app itself is generally quite functional, some key features of PC gaming are lacking: Like mods. Games that would be easily modded on platforms like Steam or GOG aren't immediately supported on Microsoft's app. It looks like that won't be true for long.
The latest update for the Xbox app adds a new feature. On a game's page you can select "Enable Mods," then accept a warning, which will open up a link to the game's file structure so you can insert your mods of choice. It's a bit barebones compared to Steam's elaborate Workshop, so you have to go find your own mods out on the web. It's good news for those playing games like Paradox Interactive's Cities: Skylines through Game Pass though, as it and its ilk are very much improved by mods.

|Totalitarian| has released a brand new beta version of the Unreal Evolution mod. Unreal Evolution is an all-round upgrade for the single-player mode of the 1998 FPS classic “Unreal” (or Unreal Gold).
In case you didn’t know, |Totalitarian| is the creator of the GMDX mod for Deus Ex. Thus, and similar to GMDX, Unreal Evolution brings numerous gameplay and AI improvements.
Version 2.0 adds AI compatibility to Unreal Evolution’s Mutator. As such, you can enable Unreal Evolution’s Mutator and get UE’s upgraded weapons, AI and inventory in other mods.
Moreover, this new version improves the dodging mechanics. Players can now dodge up any sloped surface, and dodging is slightly faster. Additionally, V2.0 adds a dodge meter to the HUD and slightly increases step height.

Modder ‘zheg’ has released a brand new version of his interesting Doom Eternal-inspired third-person mod for Doom 2, Doom: Eternal Slayer. Moreover, the modder has released a new gameplay video, featuring 10 minutes of gameplay action.
In case you weren’t aware of, Doom: Eternal Slayer adds a completly 3D player model with cool animations to hack n’ slash the monsters in many ways. Basically, it turns classic Doom into a third-person action/hack n slash game.
According to the modder, Version 0.3a adds pistol and super shotgun. Moreover, it brings better textures for the player model.

Ever feel like your Stormtroopers are a bit bland? Like they lack the verve and identifying markers that a professional fighting force should have? Modder Norm feels the same way, and has cranked out a visual overhaul for Star Wars: Battlefront 2's imperial faction called The Galactic Empire - Reimagined. The mod changes near every model on the imperial faction, giving each of their classes a more distinct visual design.
The new troopers have stylish identification shoulder armor and small visual flourishes that make them look like more of a combat-ready force who can hold their own, rather than slick policemen. I especially like the decision to add MOLLE-esque pockets and the like to their armor.
