The Thursday news:

Destiny 2 gets another teaser for its next expansion
https://www.pcgamer.com/destiny-2-gets-another-teaser-for-its-next-expansion/
The next chapter of Destiny 2 is going to be shown off on June 9, Bungie announced on Instagram last week, seemingly accidentally, as it eventually removed it from the page. It's still accessible, just hidden. Now Bungie has confirmed the date in a different teaser, below.

A Total War Saga: Troy will have mod support 'as soon as possible' after release
https://www.pcgamer.com/a-total-war-saga-troy-will-have-mod-support-as-soon-as-possible-after-release/
A Total War Saga: Troy, a strategic retelling of the long-ago spot of unpleasantness between the Greek and the Trojans, is coming to the Epic Games Store on August 13. Like other Total War releases on Steam, it won't have official mod support at launch, but developer Creative Assembly confirmed today that it's built to be moddable, and the studio is working with Epic to have mod support in place as soon as possible.

If you need a break from Earth, here's a neat free game about farming on Mars
https://www.pcgamer.com/if-you-need-a-break-from-earth-heres-a-neat-free-game-about-farming-on-mars/
Last time I saw something about farming on Mars it was that movie where Matt Damon sticks potatoes in poop. In Red Planet Farming you play as the Agricultural Director of Mars, and you'll have plenty of potatoes of your own to grow. But you'll also have spinach, corn, onions, lettuce, peppers, and lots more crops to cultivate. Starting with a small colony of five brave settlers, you'll have to grow enough food to increase the population, and even more to maintain it.
>> It's also available for free at Steam.

After ditching the original Kerbal 2 studio, Take-Two reportedly tried to poach all of its employees
https://www.pcgamer.com/after-ditching-the-original-kerbal-2-studio-take-two-reportedly-tried-to-poach-all-of-its-employees/
In late 2019, publisher Take-Two Interactive delayed the release of Kerbal Space Program 2 until sometime during its 2021 fiscal year—between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021. Then in February 2020, it made the surprise announcement that development of the game had been moved from Star Theory Games to a new studio founded by its Private Division publishing label, led by "key members" of the Kerbal 2 team from Star Theory.
A reason for the change was never provided, but a new report by Bloomberg might shed some light on the matter. It claims that Star Theory founders Bob Berry and Jonathan Mavor had been in talks with Take-Two about selling the studio, but weren't able to reach terms. And then, on December 6, Take-Two suddenly pulled the contract from Star Theory and sent a message to its employees via LinkedIn, encouraging them to apply for jobs at a new studio being founded under 2K's Private Division publishing label.

Naval battle royale Maelstrom launches a PvE 'Gauntlet' mode
https://www.pcgamer.com/naval-battle-royale-maelstrom-launches-a-pve-gauntlet-mode/
The high-seas battle royale Maelstrom isn't the most detailed naval combat simulator you'll ever run across, but it's "fun and fast-paced," Chris said in his 2018 preview of the Early Access release. His primary complaint was that it hadn't attracted much of an audience at that point, which meant sometimes lengthy waits for matches to fill up.
That should be a little less of an issue now: It went free-to-play last fall, and now it's got a new PvE mode that pits players, solo or in groups, against a series of randomized challenges ranging from sinking a number of AI-controlled ships to running a gauntlet (the mode is actually called Gauntlet) through a series of canyons and islands. Each challenge has a primary and secondary goals, and they are tough: With a base ship, it took me a few voyages to complete a single primary challenge, and trying to do more inevitably ended badly.

https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-season-3-and-the-device-live-event-have-been-postponed/

Infinity Ward promises 'we know we have to do more' as it steps up action against racist abuse in Modern Warfare
https://www.pcgamer.com/infinity-ward-promises-we-know-we-have-to-do-more-as-it-steps-up-action-against-racist-abuse-in-modern-warfare/
Racist abuse in online gaming is nothing new—it's so common that in 2018 we did a roundup of the consequences for saying something racist in popular online games. Developers have struggled against it, usually with mixed results. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare studio Infinity Ward today committed to increasing resources to monitor and remove racist names and comments in the game, and apologized for not doing a better job of it already.

Here's how food and drink will work in upcoming MMO New World
https://www.pcgamer.com/heres-how-food-and-drink-will-work-in-upcoming-mmo-new-world/
The first time I saw New World—an MMO about exploring and conquering a magical island—it seemed fairly survival game-ey, but since then it's shifted toward more typical MMO conventions. You won't die of thirst or hunger, for example, although you will want to eat.

Gaunter O'Dimm is the star of Gwent's Master Mirror expansion
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaunter-odimm-is-the-star-of-gwents-master-mirror-expansion/
Gwent's next major expansion releases on June 30, and one of The Witcher 3's most enigmatic villains plays the starring role. Gaunter O'Dimm, the powerful grifter from the Heart of Stone expansion, features heavily in the appropriately titled Master Mirror expansion.

EA Access has started showing up on Steam

Other EA games also started showing up on Steam

Intel’s 11th Generation Rocket Lake 8 Core & 16 Thread Desktop CPU Leaked, 4.3 GHz Clocks on Early ES Chip Benchmarked in 3DMark Time Spy & Firestrike. Spoiler: More ghz based on 14nm++++++++++

Looks like EA has admited defeat and is coming back in full to Steam. Which is kind of odd as, being the money grubber they are, they would make more at the Epic Store.

And yes, Rocket Lake may still be 14nm, but it's a new architecture, with all that means. Although they may not launch later this year as it was planned if what this article reports is true: https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-will-not-launch-11th-gen-core-x-and-core-s-series-this-year

If I ever get around to actually making a game, I might want to remember this. I might also want to be punny and name the easiest difficulty 20/20.

I wouldn't say total defeat. They are bringing over their service and tapping directly into Steam's usertbase with it, much like how Ubisoft did before, where they wanted Steam's pie, but required the use of their client, making them double their own userbase and customers.

It's annoying as hell to me, because I can see what they are doing, and I find it half scummy, but at the same time I definitely see the business sense in them doing this, because not only is EA Access on Origin, but now it's on Steam, their own IP's are cheaper on Origin compared to Steam (once that Steam sale ends). Combine all of that, and you have EA practically tapping on you shoulder, saying; "hey, don't you wanna use our client?, we've got EA access and our games are cheaper here too!".

I'm not a big fan of their idea though, because I want quality services and prices lower everywhere else, not just their client, because we all know they set the prices of those games of theirs over on Steam. But like Ubisoft, Bethesda and Blizzard (may as well toss EG in there too), they don't seem to want to improve their clients anymore.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

I was thinking to myself whether or not I should post this since I am very certain it comes up least once a year but oh well. If it's true then hype. If it's not, then I already played it on my ps4.

Wario64 hints that Bloodborne might be coming to PC.

They tried to build their own store and services and keep all the money for themselves, but they couldn't do it and now they're stepping back. First allowed the Humble Store to sell Origin keys and now they're back on Steam with everything they have.

They lost and now are trying something different.

If you're going to delay it, why not wait a bit longer to have PCIe5.0 and DDR5?
