"According to an article in Japanese publication Weekly Famitsu, Namco Bandai is planning to bring the Gundam series to the Nintendo Wii. Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 is expected to be a first person shooter.

And the best part is, Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 for the Nintendo Wii will have characters and mechs from four different Gundam series. The controls will be somewhat similar to the other first person shooters on the Wii. That means, you will utilize the Wii remote to aim and shoot while the Nunchuk controller will be used to move the mechs.

Namco Bandai has not revealed any more information about the Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 for the Nintendo Wii. The game will release in Japan July 26, 2007. There is no information regarding the North American or European launch. Keep watching this space for more details."

Hmm, maybe if this hit the US I might get to see all this Gundam crap is about. 

My thoughts exactly.  All I know about Gundam is its a crappy anime show Adult Swim occasionaly airs.  I've always been up for a good mech game though so hopefully it's a good game at least.

Gundam 0079 Side Story for Dreamcast was an FPS mech game that wasn't bad. :)

I was actually targeting HUS...

This game will flop in Japan... from what I understand, most japanese people aren't fond of FPS games, something about how it gives a lot of them motion sickness... it's a shame really, cuz I watched a video for this and the game looked decent believe it or not.
