Forums - Sales Discussion - Wii's 1st 2 3rd Party Million Sellers are...

Good to see Rayman selling well, buth seriously, Red Steel doesn't deserve a sequel, unless its a dramatic improvement. Doh well, I should point out that I've never played the game and this is largely just an opinion driven by its 63% rating on metacritic, I guess I'm just venting cause Okami didn't sell as well.

this is the best possible news right now for the Wii.
3rd party start to believe they can do well and Red Steel 2 surely has green flag.

3rd party will know they can put garbage on the wii ad it will sell well, send in the psp ports baby send 'em in...

Who said 3rd party won't sell on the Wii, the question is will it be garbage such as these games.

Oh, please. The ports have all failed (other than Nintendo's own GC ports).

Plenty of people have said third parties are failing on Wii. But two original launch games are quickly closing on 1 million. Not bad.

Neither of these games are PSP ports, in fact this proves is games designed for the Wii will sell, not ports

the critics always are a "special people",  and they think that always speak the world true XD, but only they are humans, not gods. for that try to put your personal opinion in every game, i like some games that the critics put 5 or 6, and i dont like some games that the critics put 9 or 10, thank a god we live in a world with  different pleasures and different forms to think

It is also worth noting that in Europe (well at least in the UK), Red Steel was reviewed much better than in the USA - which may have contributed to sales.

The numbers also don't make sense when you consider they say that Ghost Recon Advanced WarFighter 2 has already sold over a million units on the Xbox 360.  According to the weekly charts on this site it's only at ~425,000 in America where ~2/3rds of the Xbox 360's installed base is.  It would mean that the game is much much more popular elsewhere.

is a fiscal report, if are false numbers, the shareholders  or the governments can demand them.

Remember, everyone... These numbers are sold TO RETAILERS. Actual sell-through might be at 700-800K for each Rayman, Red Steel and GRAW2.

However, VGC's WW sales numbers are sold to retailers as well--ie "shipments." So we should see all these games show up there eventually.
