Has anyone had a chance to play this game?
It's one of the best games I've played for the 360. Yes, its a "shooter" but it's a very fun one at that.
Out of all the shooters I've played on 360 (all of them, mind you), it's easily up in the top 3.
Why? Co-Op. Co-Op turned Gears of War from a flashy blood-fest into the most memorable 3rd person shooter for me. EDF2017 is the same thing. Every person I've had play the game with me has felt the same way. There's nothing like it, even Gears of War.

The best part about the game? It's a budget title. It's the second best $40 you can spend on your 360 (next to Test Drive Unlimited). To me, a game like this totally disproves the fact that you can't have an awesome game on a next-gen console with great above-wii graphics and have the developers charge full $60 price to pay for dev costs.
The grahpics are pretty good (on par with other shooters on the 360). The biggest draw is the sheer amount of destruction on-screen at one time. You can litterally have hundreds of enemies incoming at a given time, and you have to take them all down by yourself (or a friend + NPC soldiers).
The pathfinding on soldiers is very weak, as they get stuck in some cave levels. However, most of the carnage is very simple: Enemies come in hordes like Space Invaders, and you have to destroy them. Although the premise is by far as crappy as Bullet Witch, or other junky 360 games, I don't think I've ever found joy in such simplicity, as it brings me back to the old days of Double Dragon on NES or TMNT in the arcades.
I think that every person that owns a 360 should atleast give it a rent, provided they can find a friend to play it.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
