BS ROL! BS!  D=<

3D mario is not a big deal? Oh yeah, that must be why SMG 1 & 2 are the   games on Wii that people talk most about. Or why so many people are looking forward to see where they will take the next 3D Mario. Oh and both Galaxies sold about 8 to 10 mil respectively.

Just because they didn't sell as much as NSMBii, they're not worth it? You sound like those guys on the SeanMalstrom forum! They're fools! Fools I say! Don't be a fool too ROL!

Not to sound condescending, but outside of internet forums the Galaxy games are not the Wii games that "people talk most about."

It's not even close.

As to your last question, let me respond with a football analogy. Imagine your team has two QBs, Joe Montana and Donovan McNabb. If the season is just starting, why would you ever make McNabb your starter in lieu of Montana? You'd be crucified by the fans...

This forum isn't the only one I post on and the Galaxies are some of the most loved games on Wii (not that NSMBii isn't as well).

Out of the vast number of people who bought NSMBii, how many of them are willing to buy a $350 console to play a 2D Mario? Alot of them are more likely to pick up the console when it is cheaper. The 3D mario gamers on the other hand are likely to be early adopters, so there would be nothing wrong with having a 3D Mario at launch.

I'm not saying they will have a 3D Mario at launch, I don't care which we get or when. I'm just saying just because 2D Mario is the best selling one does not mean launch is the best time to release it. This console is  likely to come out above mass market price.

I also doubt fans would crucify them for launching a 3D Mario.

While the distinction may be pointless and a semantic argument, what this appears to confirm and what the rumours were are not exactly the same thing.

Yeah, that sounds like Nintendo really started to believe what the gaming industry was preaching all those years: That Nintendo's success lies in gimmicks, not the actual games.

Ya because controllers, screens, and portable gaming are all gimmicks. What the hell, we might as well get rid of gaming all together. Here we go with more gimmick talk about Nintendo....and the damned thing hasn't even been released yet. It's companies like Nintendo that drive imagination. Was the first analog stick on the N64 a gimmick? What about the Rumble Pack? Or what about the shoulder buttons on SNES? Everything we have in life starts from an idea, as a gimmick.

I'm so sick of these stupid "gimmick" and "doomed" words being thrown around. It's sad to see gaming turn out this way :(

Dude anything Nintendo makes is a gimmick and people copy ;)

In other words every device is a gimmick :P

Man i can see this costing so much, but I think nintendo will be smart about it.

Digital Joystick != Analog Stick

Nikkei just hyped up Nintendo E3 press conference even more. I hope they show this "super controller" in action. I can't even imagine the cost for one of them will be.

??? A 3D Mario is a big deal. Just because it's not 2D means that Nintendo is focusing more on the gimmick? What.

There's also Mario Kart 3DS. And besides that there's OoT.

How long have you been here, Soriku? How often did I call you a silly kid, because you weren't able to grasp the most basic things? And yet, after all this time, you still have no clue.

A 3D Mario is not a big deal and it shows Nintendo's lack of business sense. If you want to sell hardware, then your biggest series must have absolute priority. You don't release second tier games (which 3D Mario is) and hope all goes well. It's better to be safe than sorry. You know how quickly third parties jump ship when it comes to Nintendo.

Yeah, two back-to-back multimillion seller 3D Mario games aren't a big deal at all. By your logic, Just Dance 2 isn't a big deal (despite, you know..both Mario Galaxies crushing it in sales).

Be quiet. You don't sound intelligent or even slightly on top of the issues. Quite the opposite, actually.

Man I hope the rumours are false. I want a next gen Wiimote not next gen DC controller or I-Pad controller. Plus the controller would cost a fortune. I won't believe it until Nintendo officially unviels it at E3!
