I've seen it stickball. The individual forums for ps3/360/wii should REALLY mostly be used by the owners of that particular platform or somebody who has a real interest in it's games or buying it. Other than that you're pretty much going into forums for systems you don't own to give opinions on games you've never played and usually it's just trolling.

Forget what you guys think of Gamespot as a review site, if you take a look at their forums for the individual systems (360 for example), it is almost all people who own the system and are discuss topics only about the 360 and any topics relating to it. Any negative threads made within that forum are by the systems owners giving their valid opinions of whether a game sucks or how crappy it is to pay for so so, etc etc.

I haven't really noticed it, then again I don't normally go into the Microsoft Forum as I don't have a Xbox360.

The X360 hate is minor compared to the PS3 and to be honest on this forum it isn't anywhere near as bad as most Console "discussion" sites on the internet.

Try to keep  the "system wars" to sales guys.

I think people mostly just use the "hot topics" list to see whats going on in the forums, they see something interesting and then post on that thread. People just go to the forum main when they wish to create a thread.  

Stickball....it is a question that has been brought up time and time again. part of the problem, however, is that you get certain people who own more than one console and they think it gives them license to bash. Especially a certain moderator these days who was promoted for who knows what reason.

Most of us post from the front page. We don't look to see where the topic originated. Why don't you make a forum subheading for fanboys only. Like an xboxfanboy forum where only card carrying xbox fans can come in and discuss. It should be invitation only and membership can be rescinded by a mod at will. Make sure that these console specific forums don't appear on the front page. This will create a safe-haven for fans who just want to get excited about their game of choice.

The only problem this might have, however, is that it will further segregate the forum. Of course, maybe that's not such a problem.

Again, the problem is that people don't post in forums. We post at VGChartz from the front page. Personally this site has so little posting lately that all we can do is wait forever for a new post to come up and hope that it has something either interesting or worth rebutting. Mostly it's just the usual suspects playing flame wars or making weird off color jokes about wanting to have relations with various members of the community.

Overall I applaud your efforts for sticking it out here as a mod with a bias that is under-represented by the userbase of this site. I don't think there's so much negativity regarding the 360 around these parts as much as there is disinterest. Somewhere along the lines this site really became about Sony vs Nintendo. And really think you are underestimating the amount of hate and vitriol that is directed toward those two platforms. Feel lucky.

Anyway, I’m actually a Xbox 360 owner since may 06’ and at this moment I don’t have a PS3, simply because I don’t like the current line-up (except for Ninja Gaiden, Uncharted, Ratchet and some 3rd party games).

Huh? You practically just listed half of PS3's line-up...

And this thread is laughably overblown. Take a gander at a Wii or PS3 thread if you want to see hate. 

THIS was claimed a lot of time by people like blue3 and others.
They all consider that when u are in a forum like "Sony forum", u dont have to post bad things about Sony. And the same apply to Microsoft/Nintendo forum.

They were never listen by anyone and their claims, about "VGC is biased" or "we should restrict the forum access", were "putting away".

Even more, you are a mod, so you can ban who you want/lock all threads you want. If you think a ban would have been too strong against these "Xbox360 haters" then it means their comments were under the "banning-threshold" and you should just let them live on VGchartz.

This is called freedom and I'm happy with this.

I've noticed it MrStickball. The 360 catches it from both sides. PS3 owners seem to be pissed that the 360 is getting the game they bought their PS3 for and Wii owners seem to be agitated that the 360 is getting the support they feel the Wii should receive.

You're a modeator, do something about it. In this topics case, I agree I have seen it a lot, you get a microsoft thread, then an asshole troll, then nothing. Just add a function to ban certain people off of one specific forum, obvious 360 haters who don't own or plan to own it shouldn't be posting here, same for whatever.
