Yes , 25 000 more since weekend and with 100 000 in just a week its the fastest selling console ever here . Just to make some comparisions ,X360 has sold here to date after 1 year and 4 months 120 000 consoles . This is official data ,vgcharts should be adding the additional numbers to the frontpage . I wonder how it is selling in other european countries this week after launch ...

100,000 distributed... Not sold... But anyways, it's Sony. For them distributed=sold. They said the same with the PSP in Spain claiming they had beaten the DS and then several independent sales trackers revealed that in actual sales through customers the DS had around 66% market share (1,6 million DSs compared to 0,8 million PSPs). I saw a mountain of over 100 PS3s in a MediaMarkt in Madrid today. Literally. A mountain.

In the mid 90's Sony fans used the same arguments, when PS1 was outselling N64 after years of dominatiion. Before NPD was what it is today, Nintendo relied only on its own tracking , and therefore was only sure of shipped units. But today, with NPD, the arguments are more heated because the math behind the data is essentially irrefutable (NPD has hard data for 60% of the retail channels and estimates for the rest), which makes it seem like Sony and Microsoft lie more by announcing shipped totals, while Nintendo focuses on aligning itself with Chart-Track, NPD and Media Create.
