I think what Sony is trying to do with PS NOW is the right solution, it just only needs to get better. PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 and PS5 library of games able to play locally in the console or PC is more than enough. I don't think cloud gaming is ready yet. I already played PS4 games via remote play trough Wi-fi with PS NOW on PC. It just need to work better, with more games from more legacy consoles and I will be happy.

I don't really see how playing locally on a PS console, but streaming to a PC is what could be considered "perfect", especially for someone like me who prefers to also play games locally and not via an always online net connection.

I'd rather it not get "better", in that I'm still kept with streaming, while you get to play locally, that's like a half arsed meeting point, while Gamepass panders to both crowds in an almost equal balance, hell, MS is asking PC folk what they'd like to see what sort of games to include in PC gamepass, and to me that's perfect, because it means both sides get a tailored experience, rather than one eating at the buffet and the other getting given delayed scraps of what the other person ate.

I didn't use the word "perfect" in any moment. I was saying the same as you. I prefer playing local. I would like that to be on PS and PC. I don't think playing remotely is good enough, even in a local network via wi-fi. I said "it just need to get better" because i don't have a potent PC and this could be my solution but is not ready enough. It played relatevely well most of the time but there are still problems from time to time.

I don't have any reasons to play PS games on the go either (via cloud or whatever), so i don't really care about that part of this new future that companies are trying to sell me. But a library of legacy games and actual games like already PS NOW is doing but expanded and improved is something i would like to purchase in the future. I don't even need launch games to be there like on GamePass. Maybe some mid tier games like Concrete Genie, Medievil Remake or PS VR games could be the ones that could launch simultaneously, because those are games i will never buy, even, at 10-20$.

What i meant to say too, is that Sony is not that far away from what Microsoft is trying to do, like some people pretend to say with Microsoft and Stadia being in another league or something like that. If Sony revamps PS NOW for the next gen making it basically the same as GamePass i would not be surprised. We'll see what happens...
