I would prefer to vote for Pete for a couple reasons.

First off, medicare for all is a very unpopular plan. More importantly, Medicare for all would pretty much put all private insurance out of business. (Or at the very least it would cut into their profits massively.) For this reason the insurance companies are ready to fight medicare for all with every ounce of dirty money they can muster. Their livelihoods are on the line. A public option is a much better plan since it doesn't effectively end all private insurance. It's also a more popular plan. Popular = people will vote for it.

Second, the push to decriminalize border crossings is a disaster waiting to happen. Decriminalizing border crossings will take away the country's power to arrest people for illegally crossing the border. This would more or less make our country a country with a completely open borders policy. I'm all for letting a half a million or more refugees into the country a year. But a completely open borders policy would swamp us with millions upon millions of new immigrants per year. Our housing market, job market, public education, social services, etc. just can't handle an influx of that size.

Pete is one of the only candidates not campaigning to decriminalize border crossings.

But sadly I don't think I can vote for Pete. He just doesn't have the charisma to win. Bernie has been a good honest man for his entire life, and he excites non-political people to vote for him. That's how Obama won the white house. That's what we need to beat Trump.
