Your first paragraph is a near term strategy.  Mean at this point in time, there isn't any other first party games they see going to another platform.  That can easily change with any new game or content depending on their strategy.

If MS wants to go 3rd party, they will let everyone know when they are ready.  It would be silly to pronounce a third party strategy if you do not have all the tools, marketing, software, partnerships etc in place first.  Why would a business even make such a statement until they have everything lined up first.  Also, who says they are going a 3rd party strategy.  MS could easily just have XCloud be on everything besides PS system.  The full details probably isn't even close to being a reality any time soon so why don't we sit back and relax.

I am sure MS would want XCloud be something like Netflix, where you cannot purchase any media device without having the option of it already installed and ready to stream games.  That is probably not going to happen in the next gen or if it does it probably will be late but who knows.  Things can change.

Thats the thing.... are the breadcrums currently leading that way?
We know theres gonna be a Xbox Two, but do you believe MS will make a Xbox Three ? or will they have gone 3rd by that time?

Yes, there are breadcrumbs but you will have to walk more than a marathon before you see the reality.  I am positive that MS sees a future where streaming services and something like Gamepass and XCloud is the future but its not here yet.  A company can do 2 things when technology comes to a point where it can change and break a market, you either jump right in and be ready or you can continue to go down the same strategy you did before and get left behind.  Sony saw it with PSNOW, Google sees it with Standia and of course MS sees it with Gamepass and XCloud.  Who knows what Apple is doing but I am sure its something.

Personally, no one knows if either Sony, MS or Nintendo will continue to make hardware.  It will depend on the hardware experience compared to the game content.
